Chain Reaction 2024

Enhancing Networking in Baku

Last updated 7 months ago

Background

In September 2024, Powered by Binance 2024 brought leaders from various continents and expertises to Baku , Azerbaijan, to discuss the innovation of Web3, AI, and the adaptation to the financial and economic landscape.

The Challenge

Creating a shared experience for a myriad of attendees

"[...] by bringing together key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, we spur a collaborative environment that drives innovation and shapes the future of Web3, AI, and digital assets in Azerbaijan and beyond [...]".

The Solution

Leveraging the power of connection

Thrilld’s platform, designed specifically for Web3 professionals - from lawyers to builders to aspiring job seeks - allowed CR24 attendees to network before the event even kicked off. Through CR24's event profile, participants establish connections and initiate conversations ahead of time. This early engagement allowed for smoother, more meaningful interactions during the event, as some people prefer to have an icebreaker. Throughout the event, Thrilld’s hyperlocalization feature helped attendees identify and connect with those nearby who were open to collaborations, fostering spontaneous meetings. The platform allowed users to share materials like decks, and the synergies formed helped, so we heard, some students better connect with industry professionals as well.

The Results

Finding a solutions-oriented partner in Thrilld Labs

By using Thrilld, Chain Reaction 2024 Powered by Binance saw a marked improvement in attendee engagement and talks about a next collaboration have ready been started . Shafiq Amiri noted:

“[...] connection was a major theme at CR24 Powered by Binance and people really cared about having access to more networking opportunities onsite. Thrilld, albeit still in its early stages, made networking an easier process for our attendees, which was really important to us. We’re looking forward to seeing where Thrilld stands for the next edition of Chain Reaction.”

The Future

"We were excited to be part of Chain Reaction and support the growth of Web3 in Azerbaijan, one of Central Asia’s key Web3 hubs [...]", Thrilld Labs’ CEO and founder, Alexandra Overgaag, noted.

As the biggest Web3 event in Azerbaijan, Chain Reaction's organizers () sought a networking tool that could enhance attendee experience by ensuring networking before, during, and after the event. With a significant number of participants, all with very different backgrounds (from governmental decision-makers, to institutionals, to students) traditional networking methods risked being inefficient nor in line with the ethos of Web3. The organizers needed a solution that would enable attendees to find synergies based on shared professional goals and interests for the greater good of enhancing the industry as a whole. This is something that Shafiq Amari, Fari Solutions' COO, emphasized:

As this was our first time collaborating with an event in Azerbaijan, we were indeed thrilld to expand into a promising region and we thank the team for their trust in Thrilld Labs.
