🌎Using Thrilld at an Event

Are you Using Thrilld for the first time? Read the steps below to successfully network before, during, and after the event you're attending.

Thrilld is designed to be used beyond specific events. It is a general tool for connecting with others in the space worldwide, enabling you to form relationships and explore business opportunities continuously, not just during conferences. You are of course free to delete the app after your event, whatever works best for you.

Step 1 - Download Thrilld

Read more here and here about how to set things up.

Step 2 - Create your Profile

Read more here about how to create a profile. We strongly recommend configuring your at least your descriptions properly, as our data shows that profiles with missing descriptions receive 82% fewer matches.

To make sure your profile looks polished, you can check your own profile by clicking on the Preview Profile option. This allows you to see exactly how others will view your profile if they click on the 'i' icon.

Step 3 - Explore others worldwide

Read more here about connecting with others. If you are using Thrilld for the first time, keep in mind that while swiping other profiles, you can only chat with others if the interest is mutual. On the other hand, direct messages are possible when you are directly approaching others, for instance if you find them through an Attendee List of an event you're attending. Read on below for more info.

Next steps if you're attending a Web3 conference or event

4. Before the event

Maximize your networking potential by connecting with fellow attendees before the event kicks off. How?

  1. Find the event profile under the 'Events' section on the main page of Thrilld.

  2. Click on View Attendees List and Join Attendee List to join the list and allow others to message you.

  3. Send direct messages to attendees. How? Click on the profile of someone you might find interesting. Then click on the green Match button and find your new connection under the New Matches tab (click on the central icon in the app’s navigation bar). Click on their name again, and simply drop them a message.

5. During the event

Leverage Thrilld’s Hyperlocalisation feature during the event to connect with attendees nearby with whom you have not chatted yet:

  • Activate the Hyperlocalisation toggle in your Settings (click on the right icon in the app's nav bar and then on the mechanic wheel) to see profiles of those in close proximity.

  • Swipe through profiles of people and companies attending the event. Remember, only if you both swipe right, you can chat and connect in real-time to discuss potential business opportunities.

  • You can also go back to the Attendee List (described above) and send DMs to people you have not reached to yet.

  • Create Instant Matches with people you meet at the venue by scanning each other's QR codes. To do this, go to your Chats and tap the QR code icon in the upper-right corner. You can also create Group Chats by sharing a Chat-QR code or link. Simply click the 🧑+ icon in the upper right corner of in an existing chat to make that happen.

6. After the event

You can stay connected with the people you've met on Thrilld to discover new Web3 opportunities from across the world, or just keep it on your phone untill you find us again during a next event.
