On October 1st 2024, the Web3 Tales conference returned to Zagreb (Croatia) for its second edition, drawing over 500 attendees, including industry leaders, builders, and those new to the space. Organized by , a 100% female-led nonprofit committed to increasing female participation in fintech and blockchain, the event was themed "", aiming to demystify the complexities of DeFi and showcase its transformative potential in the financial sector and beyond.
Held at Lauba, the House for People and Art, the conference provided a dynamic setting where business, art, and technology converged. Recognizing the event's mission and potential, Thrilld Labs partnered with the organizers to enhance the networking experience.
Meaningful networking throughout a diverse ánd local DeFi community
Given the wide range of audiences - from industry veterans to newcomers - the potential for meaningful connections was immense. Meanwhile, the challenge was to facilitate effective networking that would cater to participants of varying experience levels in the rapid DeFi space. Importantly, many attendees readily knew one another from previous editions and from the local blockchain space, hence the goal was to create an environment where attendees could easily connect with new contacs based on shared interests and objectives. In this way, one can start ensuring that as many participants as possible could derive a maximum amount of networking value.

This collaboration showcased Thrilld for the first time in South-Eastern Europe. Ultimately, the app generated an onboarding rate of 29% of total attendees, which was modest but fair given that many people already knew one another and the event only lasted one day.
