🟣NapulETH 2025
This July 17-19, NapulETH took place in Naples, Italy and used Thrilld as its official networking app. In this case study, we look at how Thrilld impacted the conference, including what went well and potential learnings to take away for future partnerships.
Background
NapulETH was held at Villa Doria d’Angri, covering more than 30 themes ranging from DeFi, NFTs, AI, gaming, metaverse, and DA to DAOs. As one of the leading blockchain gatherings in Italy, the conference brought together institutions, companies, and protocols. Through a nicely curated mix of talks, experiments, workshops, and through a hackathon and boat party too, attendees explored real-world use cases, societal impact, and emerging trends in Web3 and beyond.
The event featured several hundred attendees, 80+ speakers, 60+ partners and 30+ sponsors, both local and international. The main goal of NapulETH is to introduce, onboard, and educate attendees on the Ethereum ecosystem. From blockchain to quantum computing and AI, digital transformation most certainly met the tradition of a true Italian event, hosted in a stunning university by the sea. With a conference, startup challenge, and hackathon, NapulETH turned Naples into a gateway to the future.
In spicing up NapulETH, a pre-hackathon was held at the Museo Filangieri, an authentic Italian Sala d’Arme turned museum! We loved the organisers' take on blending Web3 with art through a dedicated exhibition, zooming into concepts such as hybridization, concrescence, and crystallization (yep, you should have been there...perhaps next year!), as well as the parties and many side events that brought some additional lightness and joy to the already bright summer days.
Indeed, the venue was lovely! Doria d’Angri is located in the metropolitan city of Naples, a city fashioning historic architecture and designs. From sites like the Palace of Caserta and the Roman ruins of Pompeii nearby, Naples is the site of many historical and culturally significant events. It was even designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 for its preservation of ancient urban planning. Think: Greek road layout, art and architecture of the Middle Ages, churches, palaces... So, while attendees had the chance to join a renowned Italian blockchain event, there was also the added benefit of getting a glimpse into the city of Naples, as well as Italian (and others) history and cultures. Alexandra Overgaag, the founder and CEO of Thrilld Labs, was present at the NapulETH event to ensure a timely and smooth onboarding and navigation of attendees on Thrilld. She said that NapulETH was a brief blast, showcasing radiant potential for the strength of Web3 in Italy.

The Challenge
NapulETH was set to happen within two days with various segments. A variety of activities like interactive talks, parties, and networking sessions with people who are in each segment required an adequate planning process. Considering the crowd from different backgrounds and industries, proper information had to be disseminated repeatedly. Additionally, not all attendees needed a networking app, as some came for educational purposes.
We appreciate our partners for their support and assistance leading up to and during the event. We saw that they were extremely busy, so we have therefore learned to lend our help whenever we can to maximize onboarding to Thrilld, as well as ensuring that attendees are adequately informed about the existence of the app.
The Solution
Every conference comes with ample preparation and probably leaves some stones left unturned. We observed that while NapulETH brought together a large crowd of individuals of varying backgrounds, time and the large scale of the conference meant there was a limit to who and how people interacted. This is where Thrilld comes in, bridging the gap in connection and communication. The NapulETH team said, “[...] by integrating Thrilld as our official networking app, we’re ensuring that every attendee has the best chance to build impactful relationships and make the most out of NapulETH Open Village 2025.”
For folks who needed to form synergies with other global builders, the participants could find and engage with both past and new connections on the attendees list. Updated information and the event schedule is also always found on the app so that a proper networking process as well as information distribution is made possible.
The Result
The NapulETH conference was a huge success. Working with a great team whose hands were on deck produced a great outcome. As the first major Web3 event in the beautiful country of Italy officially adopting Thrilld, the stable pace of growth for our project has been set. Being the first of its kind, backed by good speakers and sponsors, many got to know Thrilld Labs, hopefully leaving a strong impression for future partnerships to come.
The Future
The NapulETH team said: “At NapulETH, our mission is to be more than just an event, we are a connector, a hub where talents, companies, and investors in Web3 meet and create opportunities. We believe that meaningful connections drive innovation and multiply value. That’s why we were drawn to Thrilld Labs and their app.”
Thanks to our partners at NapulETH for their agility and diligence throughout the partnership. We look forward to seeing what’s in store for the next edition and the Web3 landscape in Italy!
